RENAULT DECODE BY SECURITY NUMBER Almost
all Car radio's from Renault cars can be decoded using this method. All
we need is the security number, which is printed on the label on the
right hand side of the stereo.
The security number is a Letter and three numbers, as in the image on the right.
HOW TO REMOVE THE RADIO To
remove the radio from your car, you will require a set of round radio
removal pins, these are available from car accessory shops or ebay,
simply insert the pins into the holes and pull, there is no need to
detach the plugs from the back, just take a note of the security number
and push the stereo back in.
HOW TO ENTER THE CODE Once we have sent you the radio code, you will have to enter it into the radio. With the radio switched on, the display should show '0000' if the display shows 'CODE'
its means that there has been a wrong code tried and the radio is
temporary locked. Leave the radio switched on without pushing any
buttons, the display should change to '0000' in a few minutes, note this can take up to an hour depending on how many wrong code attempts there have been. To enter the code ( we will used the code 3456 as an example).
- Press button 1 until display shows 3000
- Press button 2 until display shows 3400
- Press button 3 until display shows 3450
- Press button 4 until display shows 3456
When the display shows the code that we sent you, hold button 6 for a second or two. Your radio stations should now come on.
